CUSTOM TRUNK
How to increase the number of characters in the textbox "Custom Dial String" ? Currently it is limited to 35 characters.

You can "make do"
It's been almost 4 years since this question was asked, but in the absence of a longer string, here's a work-around:
Make your custom trunk "Local/$OUTNUM$@mycontext-custom"
Then edit /etc/asterisk/extensions_custom.conf and add a new context called [mycontext-custom]. You can then manipulate the dialplan directly, however you want within that context.
